Someone i really respect has suggested that lapstrake/clinker ply is an easier construction method for a boat building novice then s&g for larger boats (size unspecified, but probably 16' and more).. With these few simple stitch and glue techniques anyone with a modicum of commonsense can build a wooden boat quickly and easily with plywood and epoxy..
